The Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Norfolk is a beautiful, peaceful place which offers us respite from the demands, pressures and anxieties of the world around us.
Accommodation is in warm and comfortable single, double or family rooms, some en-suite, with many convenient facilities: quiet lounges, with tea and coffee-making essentials and lovingly-tended gardens with seats and paths for people of all abilities.
The restaurant provides excellent meals which cater for all diets and preferences. In addition, Norton's Cafe/Bar is open all day and evening for alternative choices of food and drink.
People come to Walsingham for a variety of reasons: some for spiritual refreshment; some for peace and quietness; and some for a holiday. There are many services which take place in the large church, the Holy House (which is the original tiny church-within-the church) and the many chapels. All are entirely optional. Pilgrims choose to attend those which they prefer. Everyone is welcome.
